About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a creative and passionate Remote Social Media Intern to join our team and help us expand our reach and engagement on various social media platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a psychology student or recent graduate with a flair for design and content creation to make a meaningful contribution to mental health awareness from the comfort of their own workspace. You will work closely with our team virtually to develop engaging visuals and informative content that resonates with our audience and aligns with our mission, including raising awareness about our accessibility programs.
Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative social media content (text, images, short videos, infographics) related to mental health topics, self-care, well-being, and our commitment to affordability and accessibility, including the pro-bono and pay-what-you-can program.

Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics and templates for social media posts, stories, and other digital materials using design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar).

Social Media Management: Assist in scheduling and posting content across various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).

Audience Engagement: Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages in a professional and empathetic manner, and foster community engagement, including inquiries about our accessibility programs.

Research & Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, platform updates, and relevant mental health topics to inform content strategy, ensuring alignment with our values of affordability and accessibility.

Virtual Collaboration: Work closely with the team through online communication tools (e.g., video conferencing, email, project management software) to brainstorm ideas, align content with overall marketing goals, and ensure brand consistency, particularly in messaging around accessibility.

Performance Tracking: Assist in monitoring social media analytics and providing insights on content performance, including engagement with content related to our accessibility initiatives.
Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Psychology (preferred), Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

A strong interest in mental health and a genuine desire to promote well-being and increase access to mental health services.

Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively online and with sensitivity to the topic of accessibility.

Creativity and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.

Familiarity with various social media platforms and their best practices.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay connected and responsive online.

Bonus Points:

Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or personal projects, especially those with a focus on social impact or accessibility.
